For the fifteenth year Local Administration and Pro Loco propose to again hold "Mogliano 1744", an extraordinary and unique recreation of a century: the Eighteenth century. The age of Enlightment, of political, technical and scientific revolutio; the century which, behind a frivolous facade, contains incredible philosophical and spiritual turmoil and represents one of the most interesting periods of our history.
"Mogliano 1744" evokes again a particular event of local history, making un live through the fascinating and evolving at mosphere of thattime, thanks to the wonferful costumers, the characteristic location and the recreation of a real eighteenth century setting with inns, ancient trades, street artists and popular dances.
We must thank all who have given time and worked hard to make this event success, which is one of the most important and eagerly awaited of the year, both from the village and the great number of tourists who confirm their interest yearly. We must also thank the local quarters for their untiring patience, the whole town for supporting this event, all the actors and the sponsors for their much appreciated support.
I warmly welcome all those who will honour us with their presence, ensuring that in Mogliano they will re-live history and merge into this extraordinary demostration of art, culture and traditions.

It is an original show which recalls the magnificence of Mogliano during the eighteenth century when Austrian troops on their way to Naples passed through the village and were put up by the villagers. For thi act Maria Teresa of Austria, Queen of Bohemia and Hungary, promoted it to the status of "Town".
During the show some aspects of life during that period are re-enacted. Taverns offer typical meals of the day and ancient jobs are relived.
The narrow lanes and squares of the village will come alive with jugglers, musicans and street acrobats giving a colourful atmosphere with marvellous entertainment. Fire-eaters and knife throwers walk among the elegant nobility, austere military and chatter of the common people.
On the final day, more than three hundred characters wearing eighteemth century dresses, faithfully reproduced, parade in a galaxy of colours together with wigs, whitened faces and adorned with gold objects and trifles.
"Mogliano 1744" gives the spectators the possibility to relive the past for three days!
